If you want to join Fairmont Federal Credit Union, you must live, work, worship, volunteer, or go to school in, or have businesses or other legal entities located within Marion, Monongalia, Preston, Harrison and Taylor counties. Anyone in the immediate family of an eligible member may join our credit union even if the eligible member does not join. Once a member joins the Credit Union, regardless of what category made them eligible for membership, their immediate families and their households also become eligible to join.

Fairmont FCU operates under government charter and supervision and members elect a board of directors to manage the credit union to ensure that their best interests are represented. The Fairmont FCU Board of Directors contains 7 members to ensure fair and reasonable decisions are being made for our members. Members have the privilege to hold office on the Board of Directors and to vote at the credit union annual meeting to elect the Board of Directors to run the Credit Union. Regardless of the amount of money held by a member in the credit union, the basic principle applies, "one member = one vote."
